To ensure a long life, occasional cleaning and maintenance of the Bristol braided rug is recommended . It's always a good idea to place this rug on floor padding for comfort, durability and safety and to prevent color transfer. Vacuum the Bristol with a hard surface attachment. Spot clean with any dry cleaning fluid and dry clean or machine wash in cold water and lay flat to dry periodically. In the case of loosened or broken thread which hold the braids together, simply sew them together again with a needle and strong thread. Trim any loose ends. • Cleaning and Maintenance Instructions:
  • Vacuum with the hard surface attachment, never with the beater bar
  • Spot clean with any dry cleaning fluid
  • Periodically professionally dry clean or machine wash in cold water and lay flat to dry
  • Simply sew together any threads that break or loosen which hold the braids together
  • Trim, never pull loose ends
  • Floor padding is highly recommended
  • Start from center and work wrinkles out by hand or with a pole if rug does not lay flat at first, due to packing
