Never use the beater bar of the vacuum on the Boat House braided rug. Instead, vacuum it with the hard surface attachment. You can occasionally dry clean or machine wash this rug and lay it flat or just spot clean it with any dry cleaning fluid. Simply sew together any loose or broken threads that hold the braids together with strong thread and a needle. Trim any loose ends.   • Vacuum with the hard surface attachment, never with the beater bar
  • Spot clean with any dry cleaning fluid
  • Periodically professionally dry clean or machine wash in cold water and lay flat to dry
  • Simply sew together any threads that break or loosen which hold the braids together
  • Trim, never pull loose ends
  • Floor padding is highly recommended
  • Start from center and work wrinkles out by hand or with a pole if rug does not lay flat at first, due to packing
